RANKING THE DECADE’S BEST: FROM OSCAR MOVIES TO BLOCKBUSTERS
Walk down memory lane… And let the movie nerd debate begin.
Let’s REWIND to the 1960s.
PART 2: Featuring Movies from 1965 – 1969.
These are personal TOP 10s ranking Oscar-nominated movies right alongside popcorn-munching blockbusters, indie films, b-movies, and cult classics. You never know, you might even uncover a hidden gem or two.

So many good movies. There are a few I haven’t seen out of all those so thanks for bringing them to my attention. The Cincinnati Kid is amazing if you can catch it.

Oh my goodness Dame Helen! Well what do you say to this. Great list Dan although I’ll admit out of the Top 10 I’ve sadly only properly watched The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, To Sir With Love and Planet of the Apes. I think a fellow blogger Beetley Pete has written about Le Samourai so I will have to check it out if possible. I recently saw The Apartment from the early 60s. So many great films here. Three that come to mind that are really grand are The Battle of Algiers and I recently saw Once Upon a Time in the West which does not suffer at all without Clint Eastwood. It’s magnificient. I also remember years ago discovered push up bras had existed in some way years ago when watching Casino Royale. I really did love Miss MoneyPenny in that. Finally there’s Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner? I’ve seen that film 3 or 4 times and I always cry when Spencer Tracey does his speech at the end. It was the last scene he shot and he died days later. When he looks at Katherine Hepburn there is something very real there about love and life.

Being super-swamped with work is my new normal 😉 But I’m collaborating on a lot of exciting projects: movies, tv, books, short films plays, musicals, comics, video games, and new social media format coming soon.
These Rewind & Rank’s are kind of a good stress reliever. I love graphic design type stuff too.
Thanks for staying tuned though. I appreciate it.
Everyone hop over to Lloyd’s site and check his reviews!

What a cool decade of the 60’s was. I saw Age of Consent a while back and was struck by the sensuality of Helen Mirren in one of her first roles.

Yes you missed an O. But I got what you meant. She is very sexy in the film, a very shapely body.
